About the Ipswich Railway RSL Sub-Branch

The mission of the Ipswich Railway RSL Sub-Branch Inc is through CARE,
COMMEMORATION and CAMARADERIE provide support, opportunities and
acknowledgement for service members, their families, members of the ex-Service
community, serving Australian Defence Force members and their families.



The Ipswich Railway RSL Sub-Branch Inc Wellbeing Support Office is located at “Railway House” where Wellbeing Advocates (in training) can assist members and their families.

Applications for Live Life Alarms, Charitable Objects Funds Applications, DVA
Documents where applicable, and Witnessing Documents are just some of the

Transport to and from medical appointments is available to members not eligible
through DVA entitlements.

Telephone, home, and hospital visits also form part of the mission to support



The Ipswich Railway RSL Sub-Branch Inc has a strong commitment to the
commemoration of ANZAC Day, Vietnam Veterans Day and Remembrance Day.

ANZAC Day is commemorated yearly with a service conducted at the Workshops
Rail Museum where the All-Conflicts Memorial is located.
Vietnam Veterans Day is commemorated with a service conducted by Club Services
Ipswich at 5a Lowry Street, North Ipswich.
Remembrance Day Commemorative Service is conducted at the Workshops Rail
Museum at the All-Conflicts Memorial.
Other Ex Servicemen’s Organisations, schools and community organisations are
supported financially or by member visits and participation.



The social element of the Ipswich Railway RSL Sub-Branch Inc is paramount.
Opportunities are afforded members and their families to engage in fellowship and
friendship. Throughout each year functions such as, Monthly meetings, Quarterly
BBQs, Anniversary of Charter Luncheon, President’s luncheon, Community Leaders
Breakfast, Christmas Functions and Bus Trips all contribute to the development of
